The Band made it's way down a chilly Constitution Avenue for the
​15th straight year during the 2017 D.C. St. Patrick's Day Parade.  
This was our first trip down the Avenue without piper and charter member
Tommy Keelan.  A spot in the front row was reserved for Tommy.  

After the parade we made our way to DAR Constitution Hall for the 38th Annual Emerald Society St. Patrick's Day Party.  During our performance we played a new song, "Fields of Athenry", in honor of Tommy.  
Then its was time to have a few pints with family & friends and enjoy the party.

A special thanks to the Emerald Society for their generous $1500 donation celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Band.

Once again the Band had the honor of marching in the flag during the opening ceremony of the IAFF Alfred K. Whitehead Legislative Conference.  
Later in the evening we performed during IAFF Local 36's Hospitality Night at
Old Engine 12 Restaurant, a recently renovated DC firehouse.

Parade season kicked off when the Band returned to Annapolis for their
5th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade.  
Once again we had a great time and enjoyed some pints poured by
​Governor Hogan.

The Emerald Society awarded the 2017 James E. Reilley Irish Innkeeper Award to The Knights of Columbus Father Rosensteel Council #2169.  
The Band has held practices at the Knights since our formation.  They open their doors for our annual Christmas party as well as other events.  The Emerald Society's monthly meetings are now held there as well.  
The Knights welcomed us into their home and we are forever grateful.
