The Band is back at the Knights practicing for the upcoming season.
Stay tuned for some big announcements!!! Members of the Band traveled to Dublin, Ireland in September to celebrate the 4oth Anniversary of the Dublin Fire Brigade Pipes & Drums. The Dublin Band was instrumental in getting our Band started and great friendships have been forged over the years. Thank you for your hospitality, it is unmatched!
We hope to see you again soon. The Band played "God Bless America" during the 7th inning stretch at the Washington Nationals game on 9/12/25. It was Heroes Day at Nats Park in rememberance of 9/11/01. The Nationals honored members of the military, police, and fire departments. Plaques were also dedicated to those that died in the line of duty in the past year, including DCFD members Lt. Robert Heaney and Technician Stephen Shipp. The plaques are on seats in section 130. The Band made the trip back down to Delray for their St. Patrick's Day Parade.
We met up with friends from the Dublin Fire Brigade Band as well as the Palm Beach County and Boston Pipe Bands. Special thanks to John Ferguson of Palm Beach County. The Band had the honor of playing at the Line of Duty funeral for Technician Stephen Shipp. Steve was assigned to Truck Company 7 as the Truck Driver.
He was a 20-year veteran of the department and died from occupational cancer on April 15, 2025. Rest in peace Steve. The Band is holding a Limited Time Raffle!
