May is shaping up to be a busy month for the Band.
On Sunday, May 21st we will be celebrating the Band's 15th Anniversary.
The DCFD Museum above 3 Engine will be adding an exhibit showcasing the Band. We will be there to perform for the ceremony.
After the museum dedication we will move the party over to RFD on 7th Street NW where we will have our 15th Anniversary Celebration and Fundraiser.
There will be food, drink specials, raffles, a silent auction,
and performances by the Band.
We will also have a raffle with the top prize of $1500.

Congratulations to Tenor Drummer & Captain Scott Sefton on his retirement from the District of Columbia Fire Department after over 30 years of service. Captain Sefton was appointed to 7 engine, later transferred to 18 engine, where he was became pumper-man before transferring to Rescue Squad 1, where he became a Squad Driver. He retires as one of the most respected Captains on the job,
and his leadership will be missed.
Congrats again Scotty and enjoy platoon #5!
The Band made it's way down a chilly Constitution Avenue for the
15th straight year during the 2017 D.C. St. Patrick's Day Parade.
This was our first trip down the Avenue without piper and charter member
Tommy Keelan. A spot in the front row was reserved for Tommy.
After the parade we made our way to DAR Constitution Hall for the 38th Annual Emerald Society St. Patrick's Day Party. During our performance we played a new song, "Fields of Athenry", in honor of Tommy.
Then its was time to have a few pints with family & friends and enjoy the party.
Congratulations to our newest piper Scott Bell on his first parade with the Band!
